Visit from the examiner

At the beginning of the course one of the examiners came into our class to teach us about how to write a successful blog. He started off by getting us to draw an island that represented how we felt our first year of A-levels went. For example I draw volcano to represent how I felt about writing my blog last year, because I been so stressed and worried. After we were finished he put all of them up on the wall. He points out the fact that everyone's islands were different. This shows us that everyone had different strengths and weaknesses. He also asked us to draw a picture of a typical English fry up. Once again when he pinned on the wall he pointed out that everyone had drawn their slightly differently. He told us there is important to consider different formats and different techniques in our blog. To finish the session he showed us some of the blogs from last year that had done very well. He pointed out that it wasn't just a lot of writing the people who've gotten any stars had also used video interviews, graphs and prezzi. Overall I learnt that it is important to use a variety of different media in my blog and also it is important to be creative and inventive.
